How memories can be found on Facebook

Some social networks, and Facebook in particular, have a neat way to help you rediscover moments from your past by posting them directly to your feed.

Like many, you’ve probably had your Facebook account for years, and you may not remember some of the hottest posts you share on the web. Even if you do, scrolling down to find that specific memory or a photo of you with a friend can be a challenge. Instead, here’s how to use the file Best regards tool to find your memories on Facebook.

How memories can be found on Facebook

Facebook Memories is a tool that lets you see what you did (or rather, what you posted) on the same day years ago, until the day you created your Facebook account.

Your memories are automatically refreshed every day. You’ve probably seen the automatic On this day a message will appear in your feed. Facebook also sends you a notification to remind you of a new memory. To find Facebook Memories notifications, open your Facebook account and select Notifications at the top right of the screen.

If you don’t receive notifications about your Facebook Memories every day, you can manually access them on both your computer and your smartphone.

How to access Facebook Memories on the desktop

If you use your computer to find your memories on Facebook, follow the steps below.

  1. Open Facebook in your browser and sign in to your account.
  2. Find the sidebar on the left side of the screen, scroll down, and select See more.

A la Memories Home on the page, you’ll see your memories of that day for a year and two years, and then as many years as you have your Facebook account. Scroll down to see them all until you get the You’ve already caught up message.

On the same page, you can use the file Configuration menu to set up Facebook Memories notifications.

You can select one of three options: Choose Facebook to show you All memories to receive notifications once a day, The highlight to receive notifications only about videos or special collections, or Cap to skip all notifications.

How to Find Your Facebook Memories on a Smartphone

If you’re using the Facebook mobile app, follow the steps below to access your Facebook memories.

  1. Open the Facebook app on your smartphone and sign in to your account.
  2. At the top right of the screen, select the three horizontal lines you want to open Menu.
  1. Select Best regards.

Scroll down to see all your memories of that day for as many years as you have your Facebook account.

If you want to change the settings for Memory notifications, select the gear icon at the top right of the screen to open it Best regards Configuration. Then choose how often you want to receive notifications about your memories Notifications.

How to hide memories on Facebook

While it’s worth remembering some of these memories, there will be some that you don’t want to see often or ever again. For example, if you’re forced to stay home and work from home, a photo of a good beach holiday on Facebook can ruin your day.

To completely hide your Facebook memories, go to yours Memory Configuration. Then down Notifications select Cap to prevent Facebook from sending you memo notifications or displaying posts on that day.

To hide Facebook Dates from specific dates, go to yours Memory Configuration and select Hide dates. Then select Add a new date range, configure the file Initial date i End dateand select Desa to be confirmed. Then Facebook will not include memories of the date range you add.

If you want to hide some of your Facebook friends from others or don’t want to see specific friends in your Facebook memories, you can also set a filter for this. Go to yours Memory Configuration and select Hide people. Then type your Facebook friend’s name in the search bar and select Desa to be confirmed.

This person will not reappear in your Facebook memories. Don’t worry, Facebook won’t notify your friend.

How memories can be found on other social media networks

After discovering Facebook Memories, you may want to find them on other social networking platforms. The two most popular apps people often use to preserve their images and videos are Instagram and Google Photos. Here’s how to view your memories of both.

How to access your memories on Instagram

Like Facebook, Instagram also has a feature called Memories On this day. You can only access your Instagram memories via a mobile app. This feature is not available in the PC version. To see your memories on Instagram, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Instagram app on your smartphone.
  2. Go to your profile page.
  3. Select the three horizontal lines at the top right of the screen to open them Menu.
  1. Select Archive.

You will find it Best regards section at the bottom of the file Story archive page. On this day is updated daily and shows you a story you posted the same day one or more years ago. You can then select To share the memory on Instagram as a story or delete it on the same page.

How your memories can be found in Google Photos

Although you can use Google Photos on both your computer and smartphone, only the mobile version supports the Memories feature. To find your memories in Google Photos, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Google Photos app on your smartphone.
  1. You will usually see Memories at the top of the screen. If not, select the profile icon to open it Menu.
  2. Select Photo settings.
  1. Select Best regards.

Under Outstanding memories, you can manage which memories Google Photos will show you. You can also manage Memories notifications, as well as hide certain people and dates in your Memories on the same page.
